You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put so much care into perfecting each dish. The seasoning was spot-on, and the texture of the chicken was cooked to absolute perfection. If you're a fan of flavorful, well-prepared meals, Rooster's is a must-visit spot in Charlotte! I can't wait to come back and try more from their menu.
The food was good. We really liked the corn and the calamari! The pizza was a bit doughy for me but otherwise everything was really yummy. Service was quick and the place decorated nicely for Christmas! They have validated parking too if u need a parking spot.
I saw this place when I pulled up a Google Map of Downtown Charlotte. Listed at 4/5, the wife and I wanted to give it a try. It was a brief 15 min walk from our South Downtown hotel location. We almost walk passed it - I'm glad we didn't. We started with a beer and a glass of champagne. Then we had the smoked 1/4 chicken, onion rings and fries. Sounds simple, but it was exceptional. Maybe the best chicken I have ever eaten. The onion rings dipped into the house made garlicky ranch was messy good and the twice fried fries were excellent. When in Charlotte, I'll be back
Just a quick trip to Charlotte and looking for good reviews in the uptown area. We enjoyed a nice lunch with a capable server and solid food. The dining room has a warm and cozy feel. I would go back again by I think I would have a better experience here for dinner. They also have an enclosed courtyard.
The food was good the chicken was moist and flavorful. Sat at the bar and the ambiance was a like a local pub with food. Service was good especially from the manager leigh. she was awesome! The onion rings were good too!
Lovely ambiance with very good food. I had the halibut and a baby lettuce salad. Both were excellent. The salad was not overdressed with the dressing. The halibut was perfectly cooked and beautifully complemented by the saffron sauce. Service was excellent, friendly, but not obtrusive.
Amazing! Let's start with the staff, absolutely phenomenal. One of my scallops was a little smaller than the rest so they gave me an extra. The manager came over to apologize for it and I wouldn't have even noticed unless he told me so and already had the new one coming. Felix was our service and he was very attentive and accommodating, we never wanted for anything. Now to the food! We had a brand new, first night on the menu dish, pierogies with beef short ribs and goat cheese. It was one of the best dishes we've ever had. We also indulged in the scallops, Brussel sprouts and au gratin potatoes, each was perfectly cooked and delicious. We will be back again and again!
Overall, this place is wonderful. We did a walk-in and the only place we could sit without a long wait was the bar so consider making a reservation if you want to go with a group, not sit at the bar, or not have over a 30 minute wait. But nonetheless, the food was so good! We got the calamari app, short rib pizza, gnocchi, and roasted beets side dish. If you love calamari, you'll love rooster's! I'm usually not a red/tomato sauce fan but the marinara that it came with was fire, better than the aioli (and that's something I never say!) The gnocchi was amazing and was recommended by the staff so it's a fan fav. The drinks also were delicious and the bartender was super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was dim yet cozy and inviting. This is a great place for an intimate dinner for a date night or with friends!
